Water damage to stored items and no response to formal complaint
I stored my belongings in a second-floor unit from May 2023 to January 2026 and accessed it only twice—at move-in and move-out. Upon move-out, I discovered water and mold damage affecting some items, while others in the same unit were untouched. The floor was dry, which makes the source of the damage unclear and concerning.
During my rental period, the facility was closed multiple times due to hurricanes, and there were communications about property updates, including solar panel installation. These factors raise reasonable questions about possible exposure during storage.
I submitted a formal written complaint and demand for resolution but never received any response. While the rental process itself was straightforward, the lack of communication or accountability when an issue arose is very disappointing.
